Football season is nearly upon us, and again this year, every time our Pittsburgh Steelers score a touchdown, Concordia will score too!
The CLM Foundation Office brings back by popular demand an innovative employee giving campaign designed to produce both fun and funds, to benefit Concordia’s Good Samaritan Endowment Fund.
Now through September 7, all Concordia employees are eligible to sign up to participate in our “Here we GROW, Steelers!” giving campaign. Employees are asked to pledge a minimum of $0.50 for each Steelers touchdown scored during the 2017 regular season, which begins Sept. 10 (All pledges MUST be made by 5 p.m. on September 7). Concordia at Sumner employees will base their giving off of the Cleveland Browns' touchdown total.
Following the final regular season game on December 31, 2017 (Steelers vs. Browns!), totals will be tallied, sent to you and your gift can be made to the Good Samaritan Endowment Fund, Concordia’s primary charitable care fund, which ensures we’ll continue to provide the highest quality faith-based care and services to those we serve, regardless of their ability to afford it. Please plan to make your gift prior to January 31, 2018.
Over the last five seasons, the Steelers have averaged 40 touchdowns scored. In that case, pledging $0.50 per score would make a $20 gift in January 2018. Remember that no gifts will be collected until after the season concludes. Please contact the CLM Foundation office at ext. 8355 with any questions or concerns.
Be sure to make your pledge before the deadline: 5 p.m. Thursday, September 7!
